There were reports already that soon after her wedding to Riteish Deshmukh Genelia had said that she would campaign for her father-in-law Vilasrao Deshmukh, who is a former Chief Minister of Maharashtra and a Union Minister now.

The latest buzz is that her father-in-law wants Genelia to enter politics. Apparently, he finds her suitable for politics given her popularity throughout India. Genelia may also oblige to his wishes, say sources. If this happens, she may quit donning the greasepaint and concentrate in politics.
